The Pickens Football Program will have a Youth Football Development Camp June 10-12 from 8am-Noon at the PHS Stadium.
This camp is for any upcoming 1st-8th graders and will focus on football instruction and fundamentals. The camp is run by the High School & Middle School Coaching Staff. The cost is $50 per player.

The First Official Touchdown Club Meeting of the 2013 season will be Monday, May 6th at 6:30 pm at the PHS Cafeteria. All parents and supporters are invited to attend.

In 2013, we want each player to get at least 1 sponsorship. Sponsorships can come from individuals, families, or businesses. When a player attains a sponsorship, he will receive new cleats and a spirit pack. If you or your business is interested in sponsoring a specific player, please make that notification when signing up and we will make sure they get credit for your sponsorship.

The 2013 Pickens Football Season Tickets are on sale now! The Season Tickets are good for admission to any home game (Varsity, Jr. Varsity, Freshman, Middle School). If you plan to go to more than one level of games (Freshman and Varsity, Middle School and Varsity, etc.), the tickets are a discount from regular admission prices.
The first 200 tickets sold will get reserved tickets at PHS Varsity Football games. After 200, the tickets will be general admission to Varsity games.

The Pickens High School Athletic Department will be providing football and male basketball physicals at no cost for students planning on trying out for the PHS Football/Boys Basketball teams for the 2013-2014 school year on Wednesday May 1st 2013 3:15pm-5:15pm at the PHS Field House. These physicals are only open to current male PHS students and upcoming male 9th grade students currently in the 8th grade interested in participating in PHS football and male basketball for the 2013-2014 school year. If you are interested in participating in the physicals on May 1st a PHS Athletic Paperwork Packet must be completed and returned to Alison Jordan, PHS Nurse by April 26th, 2013 in order to reserve a physical. If the paperwork is not complete and returned by the 26th you will not be eligible to receive a physical. The paperwork can be found on the PHS Sports page of the PHS website and is available at PHS, JMS, and PCMS. Please contact Alison Jordan or Kyle Rasco with any questions at 706/253-1800.

Senior Offensive Lineman Ethan Baker has joined the first class of football players at Berry College as a Tight End! This is a great accomplishment for Ethan. We are very excited to have members of the Dragon family moving on to play at the next level.

For the 2013 season we will be combining our two Middle School programs into one program. This program will be run in conjunction with the high school program and will be a great part of building our total program.
There will be a Information Meeting for all parents and players of upcoming 7th and 8th graders that will make up this new program on Monday, April 8th at 6:30 in the New Performing Arts Center at Pickens High School.

We have updated the 2013 Calendar! Be sure to check the Team Calendar anytime you want to know what is scheduled for Dragons Football. We keep this calendar updated and it already has summer schedules, camps, and the fall practice schedule. It will be updated constantly. We have Freshman, JV, and Varsity activities on the Calendar and hope to add Middle School information soon.
